Each moon has four weeks, and each week has four days.
The first day of the week is Sunday, which has clear and sunny skies. Markets, parties, and other fun events are usually held on Sundays.
Some calendars shorten Sunday to the letter S.
The second day of the week is Cloudday, which has cloudy or partly-cloudy skies, depending on what the Earthlings need for their crops.
Some calendars shorten Cloudday to the letter C.
The third day of the week is Rainday. Rainday is the day for rain most of the year, but in winter, Rainday is when it snows. Rainday is the most important day of the week for Earthling farmers, because plants can't live without the water. Major storms are also usually scheduled on Raindays.
Some calendars shorten Rainday to the letter R.
The last day of the week is Windday, which has lots of gusts and breezes, and sometimes even tornadoes. Windday is the most important day for Pegasi, who use the wind to circulate clouds and clean up the sky for Sunday.
Some calendars shorten Windday to the letter W.
Here is a very simple example of a calendar for one moon:
Sunday | Cloudday | Rainday | Windday |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | 3 | 10 |
11 | 12 | 13 | 20 |
21 | 22 | 23 | 30 |
31 | 32 | 33 | 100 |
Here is a simple example of a compact moon calendar, like you might sometimes see older ponies use:
S | C | R | W |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
9 | A | B | C |
D | E | F | 10 |
