According to legend, the unicorn Duskmother escaped from a dying world into an endless, swirling void. She used the last of her magic to form the world of Fanterra, and create two beings to finish her work. Some say that the rainbow lake is all that is left of her. Some say that she is gone completely. Others say that she never existed at all.
